As ever, its easy if you google so see what you can do without the help of the internet first. I've even given the number of players

    First part
The Republic Of Ireland has played in 4 major tournaments. Can you name the players in each squad who weren’t based in England
    1988 – 4
    1990 – 3
    1994 – 2
    2002 - 0

    Second Part
Since 1970 England has played in 11 major tournament finals. The only tournament where they had a full squad based in England was the 1998 World Cup finals. Can you name the players, and clubs that were not based in England for the following tournaments

    1980 EURO – 2
    1982 WC - 1
    1986 WC - 2
    1988 EURO – 4
    1990 WC- 5
    1992 EURO – 2
    1996 EURO – 2
    2000 EURO – 1
    2002 WC - 1
    2004 EURO – 2
    2006 WC - 2

    1990 – 3
    Packie Bonner (Celtic)

    1994 – 2

John Aldridge was one in 1994, wasn't he? (I can't remember if Real Sociadad was his last club but he was definitely gone out of Liverpool by then).
And Chris Hughton was with Celtic in 1988 and 1990 I think.
Was McCarthy with Le Harve in 1990?

    Second part, England.

Off the top of my head....

WC2006 - Hargreaves, Bayern Munich. Beckham, Real Madrid.
EC2004 - Hargreaves, Bayern Munich. Second one I'd say is either Woodgate or Owen, Real Madrid.
    WC2002- Hargreaves again?
    EC2000- McManaman, Real Madrid.
EC1996- Paul Ince, Inter Milan. Paul Gascoigne, Rangers.

    Of the Ireland ones

1988 - Bonnar and McCarthy are right. Chris Hughton never played for Celtic
1990 Bonnar again. McCarthy never played for Le Havre. He played for LYon but wasn't with them for the world cup
1994 - Bonnar and Tommy Coyne are right. Aldridge was with Tranmere then

    In the England squad
    2006 is right
    2004 Hargreaves is right
    2002 is indded Hargreaves
    2000 is McManaman
1996 Ince and Gazza are correct

Chris Morris? They look nothing alike. How did I mix them up? :D
(probably still wrong though, am I?)

Some Irish international player for Le Harve around then though, didn't they? Or is my memory playing tricks on me?

<edit> Ignore me. That's what I get for not scrolling down. But I know somebody played for Le Harve. :D

John Byrne played for Le Havre. Don't know if he made any of the squads though.
