How do you know i had a dual account?I've never had a dual account.And if i did i wouldnt be the first to have one.I can think of six people of the top of my head including a couple of moderators using two or more accounts.You're nothing but a troll and a squealer,if it wasnt for the sigpo thread you'd have nothing to do with your time.

Well.... its a case of personal morality to be a bit ghey about it, but i don't think he should be banned. What he did was distasteful and the worst thing imo written in TD. Still i don't think he should be banned.

This is annoying me. I wish peole would quit jumping on the moral band wagon. If two people are fighting in the thunderdome, then let them, it's a no holds barred cage match. If somebody says something that inadvertantly cuts close to the bone then so f***ing what. You go in there, you deal with the consequences.
If on the other hand somebody uses prior knowledge to deliberately offend somebody then they should go. That's below the belt imo.

Ok, go find a grown up who can count and get them to help you see how many sigs I've reported in the last year. As for me being a troll ... funnily that one of the few things I dont get called on here.

My prroblem in particular was that he wasnt playing the thunderdome game ie everybody tops everybody else no hard feelings.He came in and started reporting posts(in TT ffs),calling for people to be sitebanned and putting people on ignore.The only reason he was there at all was to stalk rasberry untill he could gether banned.If you want to through insults around,keep your cowardly finger off the report button and stop being a self-righteous nob.He wants everybody to play by boards.ie rules,i say there's precedence for banning for overstepping the mark and he richly deserves it.

Could one of the mods please confirm I did not report a single post in TT? The only thing I reported were your duplicate accounts; Knuckles, TheAlternative and rbiesmom as they're against the site rules. If you've a problem with that and can't adhere to one of the main rules on Boards.ie, then I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

It is literally hysterical that you're asking for another user to be banned.

If it was the former than that's really disappointing... It's very easy to tell when someone is having a laugh and when they're getting personal. That's where the line should be.

Well there seems to be 2 schools of thought on the Thunderdome: gloves and no-gloves. At the end of the day its up to the contenders how they want to play. Clearly that causes issues but thats how its done. None of us complained when rb got his own damn thread to be bullied in; but woa - one post to a pregnant woman and suddenly its the apocalypse.

I didn't. I've read a fair number of her posts (I think they were from PI actually) to date but only after this thread was made did I ever take stock that Quality was both a) female and b) pregnant.

I posted this elsewhere but it's worth repeating imo.

In this case, provoked or not, rb_ie was being bullied. Just because the bully gets bullied does not make it right.

I would find it very difficult not to be nasty to people who were attacking me carte blanche as I'm sure a lot of us would. I wouldn't go as far as he did and would probably take direct action to ensure the admins were aware of how I felt about the thread in question but then, that's the benefit of age and experience I suppose...

I also think that instead of punishing rb_ie for his comments the Admins should instead take the opportunity to have a look at how the Thunderdome is or (in my opinion) isn't working. Why not look at having T'Dome operate in a better way, either private, which unfortunately doesn't allow automatic right of reply to any attacks against individuals so is a non-runner imo, or publically but with very light moderating where the mod only steps in if something particularly nasty starts happening.

If it were to be moderated I'd think that tbh would be an excellent candidate. he knows the ropes, knows the posters and at least any bans would be forum bans rather than sitebans (barring the usual reasons for sitebans).

Once again, this all comes back to cyber-bullying. In the past I remember a brief mention of the Thunderdome in a Newstalk article on cyberbullying. The article didn't focus on boards.ie or the T'Dome but it was mentioned (No, I don't have a link but wish I did). Admins, do you really want boards.ie associated with cyber-bullying?

I could give a f*ck about the "spirit of TT", it's a site wide rule to not be making alternative accounts. As is not posting porn, links to porn or other NSFW material in threads, which you got banned for previously. There may be a "spirit" in TT but that doesn't give any regular user of TT the right to break site rules.

Didn't request the thread to be closed either, as Ruu and Gordon can confirm, that'd be you and your dup accounts that had it closed, or the fact that I was being literally mobbed. Whatever, I know the truth of the situation anyway.

Mod of something worthwhile? I've started my own little forum with a good purpose, I'm much happier to have it and watch it grow than to just start modding a pre-existing forum. It's a nice little project which is growing at a good pace and I'm quite proud of that and the help it'll bring to it's members.

Quality is not the only poster Rb_ie has made a vicious attack against. The Thunderdome is not about telling people to hang themselves or wishing that a pregnant woman will lose her unborn baby. That is sick regardless of the victim's history. Why can't he keep it to the typical Thunderdome style of "Yore ma and her syphillis"??!! That can be amusing, wishing death on an poster ***(due to the fact that there is already a negative history between him and said poster)***, that's just sickening. :mad:

I've seen bans handed out for far less offences. It's not like his comment was an isolated slip up, trouble has been brewing with him for a while now and that needs to be looked at.
