    Hi lads,
Im in urgent need of an air mass meter for a BMW E36 318is. Ive tried the scrapyards around my area and have had no luck (Limerick area). I priced one in the main dealers and its 360 squid:eek: If anyone knows where I could get an aftermarket one or a secondhand one it'd be great. All help really appreciated.

Look at the manufacturer's part number on the MAF. Then search for that part online. You may find other marques/models use the same part & sell it cheaper.

Personally I'd only use genuine Bosch MAFs in my car, spurious ones have been known to give problems.

Just checked here for you http://www.gsfcarparts.com/

    part no: B18371D AIR MASS METER E36 325i 9/92> €175.00
It's a better price than the main dealers. still pricey though. I'm pretty sure most of they're stuff is genuine parts.

You can try here as well:

http://www.otto.ie they have a branch in cork. mightn't be too far for you.

they'll both deliver probably next day if your in a hurry.

Thanks for the replies lads. I tried a few motor factors in the city but they told me I've to order off the main dealer. I'm going to try some of those websites now so i'll let ye know how I get on. I'm looking for a Bosch one alright, but another thing is....the catalyic converter is gone in it now!!!:( Not sure if thats because of the air mass meter? This sh!t never ends!
