cubase se midi crash

hi i am using motu symphonic instrument as vst in cubase se 1.0.7 can draw a few notes into the midi file and sometimes crashes if not then on play back everytime sound go's everything closes can anyone help please downloaded directx 9 changed buffer size cant get help on steinberg site
