Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for a tool for quick setup of port forwarding when messing around with apps

Came across PFConfig but its not worth my while paying for it only to use it once or twice every year. All I want is something that can setup a list of ports in a few quick easy steps instead of entering them all manually in the router settings

The usual approach SW developers take here is to use Universal Plug aNd Play (UPnP) to configure routers to forward ports. Obviously, a wikipedia read is good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Plug_and_Play but after that, just make sure you have UPnP swithced on in your router. What router are you using? Some routers, such as ones running DD-WRT list what ports are opened by what client etc...

UPnP can be dangerous if there's any malware running on your PC as it allows software on your pc to open ports, potentially turning your PC into a bot. If you're gonna use UPnP, make sure youre patched and protected ;-) Other than that, its a very fast tool.

What are you trying to do?
