Anyone who drinks in the Front Door will probably have met Aidan Magee, possibly the nicest doorman in Galway. Always polite and friendly, even when he couldn't let someone in. Aidan was killed in a motorbike/car accident yesterday on the Headford Road. He will be sadly missed.
    RIP Aidan

I didn't know him, but I drive that road every day, and feel so sad passing that spot. My sympathies to his family.

He was the shorter guy with the shaved head, almost always on the Shop St entrance...

Such a sad loss. He was dedicated to biking and so easy going in every way. My heart is broken thinking about him going like this. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Aidan was a great guy and will be sorely missed. Probably the most easy going doorman I ever worked with, nobody could rise him. High St. side entrance will be a lonely door without him.

I knew Aidan for years, and a more chilled out gent you will never meet.
A quiet guy, but good fun too.
A lovely, lovely fellow and a tragic loss. His nephew is a good friend of mine, and I've yet to offer my condolences, because I know how upset he will be.
Rest In Peace Ski... Our thoughts are with his many friends and family at this time.

Jaez just looked at his pic and realised I recognised him - Think I was chatting to him about bikes before when I had one myself

On an off topic note, would Galway First staff ever fcuk off and actually do some proper research for their articles instead of coming onto the Galway Forum and robbing stuff? Bad enough they do be robbing Youtube links etc. from here without doing their own searching... argh... Do some feckin real work... 'journalists' my hole

I knew Aidan many years ago, when he worked on the door at the old bar Cuba, at the 'Shake' nights. He was getting into soul and funk back then was very enthusiastic about the music he was hearing about the club. I share this forum's feeling that he was a true gent. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
