    Jaysus begrudgery at its best!

Galway girl is a great song. But it was written by an american as already pointed out. Steve Earle is a fantastic song writer. Im no country fan but he has enough life experience for 10 people!

He wrote the song years ago after he moved to galway. It used to be one of my party pieces on the guitar that would drive the mots wild for me until that knob mundy covered it and then that piece of crap film came along (PS I love you) and ruined it for everyone. (well, mostly me!)

Despite his age, country roots and fatness, steve earle can put on a show, i once saw him play and he did a cover version of a nirvana song out of nowhere (Rape me) and alot of the old foggies didnt have a clue what was going on!!
