i am plumbing in house at mo and i was advised that my water system in house should be pump operated except for my showers which should be valve operated - what is the difference and is this a good option.

what do people recommend - i want powerful showers and hot water in mornings

also is the pump very noisy - where would i put it
    thanks

I used a cold water accumulator to provide me with a high flow rate and the shower is as powerful as any "power shower".
The accumulator is a big tank with a rubber air filled bladder that slowly fills with water from the mains while the taps are off and empties when a tap is open - the water is pushed out by the bladder. The water pressure is maintained rather than drop in the mains pipes for as long as there is water in the tank.
It's a passive system, therefore no pumps.
