    Hello,

    A friend of mine is coming over for a visit and is interested in doing a bit of fishing whilst here. I have absolutely no idea about fishing so was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good fishing locations, salt or fresh water.

    well for sea fishin check out
    www.sea-angling-ireland.org

    quite a few of us fish around the bay and surrounding areas
    plus you'll get lots of hints and tips about sea fishin too:D

    Nimmos Pier or Salthill for mackeral in June/July/August.

    Ask in one of the fishing shops like Freeneys or Duffys (www.shoot.ie)
