Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am planning on travelling to Australia for a year next Jan, so does anyone have any tips, suggestions, stories or horror stories? The longest I have been outside of Ireland for is 14 days in Fuerteventura!!:)

Australia is such a vast country it would be nearly impossible for one or two people to cover everything for you.

Might be best to post a couple of general queries you may have or do a search for threads on Australia. There's literally hundreds of them, especially in the Abroad forum.

I can answer pretty much anything on the west coast and a lot on Brisbane/Queensland as well.

Yeah you need to be more more specific as to what you want to know.

You can check out this for my travel log of my trip around Oz.

The only thing I would say now is dont go over with any big plan, or have everything scheduled out. Have the first couple of nights accom booked and then take it from there.
