Something I've discovered recently - could the time limit for reporting posts be dropped from 60 seconds to 30 seconds, or something like that? When in work I may only have a limited amount of time to view a thread so I've been coming up against the time limit a few times when items might need to be reported.

Posters are allowed 60 seconds to edit their posts, bbefore it is marked as being edited.

That is probably the controlling variable.

I assumed that it could be changed, given that the time limit for replying to threads was set at 60 seconds some time ago, but after some queries/complaints it was reduced to around 30 seconds. I think Monsieur Crash was one person who complained.

    But of course, I'm guessing.

I don't understand any of this either.
Is it something to do with the 'Report post' button? I wasn't aware of any time-limit on it. What on earth are you guys on about?

Report a post. Then, within 60 seconds, try to report another post.

There is no timelimit setting in the reported posts control panel.

Would you frequently need to report more than one post in any 60 second period.

    Thanks Vex.

    Just tried it there...

Hrm, maybe it's 60 seconds per forum for reporting?

Probably just us lucky admins who can report as much as we like and laugh at those who must obey the time limits :)

Seven seconds to report a post? :O Someone's not filling in anything in the reason.

I just tried reporting a post on the UCD forum (legitimately) and then attempted to report a post here (to test), and was unable to do the second, so it isn't a forum only thing.
