    Fave games of all time,

Doom on the PSone, had Doom and Doom 2 on one disc with great audio, used to play on link up, nice!

Return Fire on 3DO, awesome multiplayer, Maps O'Death added great singleplayer stuff too, nice early surround sound and one of the best uses of 3D graphics ever, it's all polygons and textures but with the character of 2D sprite art. Better visuals on the 3DO than on the PS or Saturn too, this would be great on the DS, don't you think?

The Need For Speed, again, on the 3DO, reimagining of the Test Drive series from the Amiga.
Time trial or against a lone racer, just you, the open road, traffic and cops. Great sensation of taking a drive, thrilling to dodge traffic, great point to point tracks with real character, and I knew every corner of them.
And a nice selection of supercars to tour them with, series much diluted by the games that followed, even the PS and Saturn reheats, this was the best.

Galaga, need I say more? Well, just a little, still play it when I come across it in compilations, I have it on nearly every format it came out on, it's genius, so much better than both the game that preceeded it, Galaxians, and the one that came after, Xevious.

MSR, the best game of its type, a great package, everyone should have been lucky enough to play this, the realtime clock, the radio stations, the real city streets.
Sure, Gran Turismo changed the rules on what we should expect from our console racers, this one made it all fun too, where else could you drive your dads car sideways through Tokyo at night?

    Worst?
    Pitfighter in all formats,
Rise of the Robots on PC,
    Road Rash on the Gameboy,
    Pacman on the 2600,
Final Fantasy, all of them, I've really tried to love them, pretend to be like everyone else, but I can't, they're awful, and the random battles, what a load of crap!

    Mega Bomberman (megadrive)
    Championship/Football Manager (PC)
god I spent so much time playing CM93!

Megabomberman and Return Fire for playing multiplayer with my brother. Nothing like speeding back to you base in a humvee with the flag, to Flight of the Valkryies, weaving to avoid the missles from the helicopter thats chasing you. CiDeRmAn, Return Fire DS would be amazing, Wifi Multiplayer! or maybe as an XBLA game

    4: Trog (NES)
    3: Kane & Lynch (360)

    1: Wii Fit (Wii)

Nothing to do with my opinions on excercise or my health, Wii Fit is just downright ridiculous!

5 worst games of all time:

    Doom 3 (boring and disappointing)
Quake (controversial I know but the single player sucked.)
    The Thing
    C&C Generals
    Call of Duty 3

Some people may have liked these games but for me they were just over-hyped and disappointing.

    1) Soldier of Fortune 2
    2) Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War
    3) Company of Heroes
    4) Medal of Honor (PSX)
    5) C&C Red Alert

Other notables: Unreal Tournament 99, Quake II, Call of Duty 1/UO/2/4, Battlefield 2.

    Xcom:Apocalypse (PC)

    Close Combat 2/3 (PC)

    Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube)

    Alpha Centauri (PC)

(I wish I could fit the Thief series in)

    most over rated game:
Elder Scrolls Oblivion (McDonalds of RPGs:bland, boring and tastes the same no matter where you go)

I really, really hate this game, I do not see why it is so highly regarded. A 100 hour epic repetitive **** and not half as fun.

    honourable mention:
soldier of fortune 2: got great reviews in PC Gamer (90%), stopped looking at PC Gamer after wasting €50 on this. 70% game if there ever was one.

    5?! That's just impossible.

Subject to change all the time..but right now I'm going to go with -

    1. FF VII (I reckon I prefer VII over VI simply because it was the first one of the two I'd played. If it was the other way around, who knows)

    2. Sonic the Hedgehog (2 is the better game, but I'll always prefer the first for nostalgic reasons)

    3. Metal Slug

    4. Street Fighter 2 Turbo

    5. Metal Gear Solid

Just about on the list -

    Fallout 2
    Half Life DM
    Super Mario Bros 3
    Revenge of Shinobi
Zelda: A link to the Past
    Chrono Trigger
    GTA: Vice City
    Another World
    Puzzle Bobble
    C&C Red Alert
    Doom 2
    Tetris
    Advance Wars
    Streets of Rage 2

    Worst games ever -

    1. Jupiter Strike (Also known as Zeitgeist) I traded Mech Warrior 2 in for this heap of sh1te. Worst mistake ever.

    2. Lone Soldier. Gave my cousin Jupiter Strike for this. It was a step up from that sad attempt at a game, but still rubbish in itself.

    3. Balls 3D. Bought this for my Megadrive when it came out. I tried so hard to like it because it was the only new game I'd get until my birthday :( cack.

    4. Any football manager sim.

    5. Last Battle. Westernized censored version of Fist of the North Star. (Which was unbelievably crap to start off with)

Some people may have liked these games but for me they were just over-hyped and disappointing.

Doom 3? Good fun, sure limited by its devotion to its predecessors, but good fun none the less, a nice, dark gothic martian adventure, in fact only the lack of torch and gun onscreen simultaneous annoyed there.

Quake, single player was great, the whole Lovecraft thing, and lovely proper 3D maps, maybe you didn't play this when it was launched, I did and loved it.

The Thing, hardly one of the worst games? Maybe not to your taste, but hard to accuse it of gross crimes against videogames.

C&c Generals, no experience really, only ever played a bit of Red alert on the PS1 and Dune 2 on the Megadrive in this genre.

COD3? Why? It's great fun and streets ahead of the Medal of Honour series.

Hard to explain why any of those games could be "The Worst", again, maybe not your taste, but surely you must admit they are polished, well made and overall easy to see why "most people" would enjoy them.

Now a real lousy game would be PO'd on the 3DO, or Need for Speed 2 on the PSone, maybe Virtua Fighter 2 on the Megadrive or any Ultimate game on the C64.

    Age of Empires 2 (PC)
The Sims (PC [yeah, I know])
Call of Duty 4 (PS3 [only because of the online game])
GTA III (PC [because I haven't played GTA VC, SA or IV])

    Honourable mentions
    The Great Escape (Commodore 64)
    Zork (Commodore 64 [text adventure])
    Command & Conquer (PC)
