Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

you can still smoke and be a profesional athelite:eek: Fabien Barthez and Brian O'Driscoll would be 2 examples.

In fact I would say alot more footballers smoke than the public thinks.

Serious?? Wow wouldnt have thought that. I remember meeting David James as a kid when he was playing for the pool and I seen him smoking. I was shocked and appauled!! :D

Just watched the vid. When he's talking about Best does he say "Whens he's sober on the ball you dont need me to tell you". Haha classic if thats what he said.

Very impressive I thought. While he is going through the strengths of the opposition he is telling his lads that they can handle it. By going into their perceived weaknesses and breaking it down into details I think he helps to remove the awe factor somewhat and make his players think of the specific things they will need to do to compete.

Great clip by the way. Very interesting. Cheers.

Yeah, he was pictured puffing away in a cafe a couple of days before the last WC Final.

Teddy Sheringham smokes, and he "won it all".

Also, David James gave up the smokes, he said he blamed them for his poor form in the early part of his career, and also that giving them up has helped him to prolong his career, and get better.
