Today i read this at the BBC:

WWW Inventor Says Web Only in Infancy

The World Wide Web is still in its infancy, says its British inventor, Tim Berners-Lee, on the 15th anniversary of the Web's effective launch. He predicts that the Web could one day be used to help manage the planet. Every user will have access to "all the data in the world."

My question is:

Where do you see the web in 30 years time in the context of the world; politically, economically, and socially. (I'm angling for some sci-fi predictions here primarily but if you've got other thoughts please feel free to share.)

Dev actually mentioned something about this - I'm not sure if it's on the boardscast or not. I might give more details later about what he said if it's not, but really I want to rob his idea so will probably say nothing.
