Pro/ Anti Sligo

From being on this forum the last while there seems to be 2 very strong camps in Sligo - the pros & antis... amongst the antis, the main "antis" seem to be ;

Anti-Student
Anti-Begging
Anti-Yr one outside BOI
Anti-Sligo Chamber of Commerce
Anti-Tesco
Anti-Sligo Post
Anti-Sligo Accent

And on the Pro side;

Pro-Sligo Accent
Pro-Argos & Ikea
Pro-Fast Food outlets
Pro-Sligo Rovers
Pro-Snow Patrol

So, it appears that the A-typical Sligo Boards forum user loves burgers, hates students & beggars, would love to shop in Argos & hates the Chamber of Commerce for not letting them, supports Sligo Rovers, reads the Sligo Post & slags it off, listens to Snow Patrol and either has a Sligo accent and hates it, has a Sligo accent & likes it, or doesn't have a Sligo accent at all and either loves or hates it. And the odd one has trouble with blocked toilets. Must be all the burgers.

I want Tesco to get planning for a new store. And Snow Patrol are one of the most overhyped, tedious bands I've ever heard. Their first album was good (especially Velocity Girl) and they've been rubbish since.
Apart from that, I suppose I fit the profile.:cool:

Ah, good old facts and figures. where would we be without it.

We do moan and bitch about Sligo, but its our town, so why not?

I love it really, even with all its foibles, its still home.:D
