Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hiring a camper

Myself and the better half have often considered a camper van to be ideal for us for holidaying. When we go on holiday we always just hire a car and set about exploring the location which we reckon is a bit limiting when you've always got to head back to the same spot.

We're getting married at the end of the year and probably heading off to NZ for a few weeks and are contemplating hiring a camper for part of our time there in order to give us true freedom to explore.

Thing is we'd like to be a bit more certain before we book anything. Unfortunately we're somewhat tied by cost and trying to keep most of our annual leave due to the wedding (though we can stretch to a few days and a reasonable cost). We're based in Kildare thinking of heading off to Donegal.

Does anyone know of any places that are reasonable for camper van hire within a reasonable distance of Kildare/Dublin/Donegal (can drive the car as far as there to start)? Any place ye know of do short (3-4 days) hires?

I have no problems with driving any size of camper van as I've a full C licence and drive an oil truck every Saturday doing deliveries down the country (with all it's wonderful wide, straight and level roads ).

I think http://www.bunkcampers.com/ look the business. Rates also appear quiet reasonable.

In fairness I had done that but I was looking for recommendations from people who may have used the companies or knew something about them.

    Hi
There's a hire place beside the airport here in dublin called kamp easi, I believe they are ok to deal with. Its beside the furry park ind estate on the swords road.

Definitely go to germany to buy one, i went to munich and got a peach of a bus. VRT was only 50 euro.

Going on it's maiden voyage this weekend......fingers crossed.:)

Thanks guys. The ultimate aim is to buy one if we find that we like it. However we need to check it out first.
