tiptronic problem

    The tip tronic on my rodeus has stopped working. I usually don't even use it and only noticed today when showing someone ironically,how it worked. The auto gearbox seems to work as normal.It's still under warrenty so obviously I will bring it back to the dealer but I'm wondering is the tiptronic in a gearbox electronic,which would,I assume,make for an easy enough fix,or if not,should I worry about gearbox trouble in the future. The box is a borg warner btw. Any advise would be appreciated, the dealer concerned is a chancer,so any knowledge of whats involved would be handy.

    prob an electrical problem. the tiptronic just sends a message to the gearbox to change up or down, no mechanical link involved.

    feel free to try a different dealer too, you're not tied to the supplying dealer in any way.
