Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

quick question windows install

    i have a friend who wants to know is it possible to transfer a windows install between HDD's
    ie he has windows on his current HD and he just got a SATA II HD and would like to transfer to OS
    Possible?

    I've done it, though Vista did ask to be reactivated.

    It depends entirely on whether the Windows install has used the hard disk as one of it's reference pieces of hardware for activation.

    For the OP, the easiest way is to use Norton Ghost on a floppy boot to transfer the whole system from one disk to another. Only problem he might encounter is whether windows will start without the SATA drivers being installed on the original hardware.
