    Chaps,
I've seen a few mentions of Great River on boards. Do any of you guys own any, or heard it.....

Or is it lads Tin Roofing?

I ask as I've been offered the brand and I've not heard it.
Any opinions would be appreciated, Cheers

Haven't used any of there gear myself but it is highly rated! The MEQ-1NV is supposed to be one of the best 1073 clones around. Check out gearslutz, there's plenty of people raving about them there

I've heard only good things about them, but only second hand things, too.
Whatever you do, don't get any demo units in.
My bank balance can't take any more.

Thanks for that Chaps. I see the Gearslutz stuff ok but the place, like here (!) is also filled with Tin Roofers ....

Just wondering if anyone had used it.

There's an eight channel job out in the Studio one in the Radio Centre. Where they do the orchestral sessions. They got one on Brian M.'s insistance I believe. It was super clean, or that was the general consensus.
Mind you the only way we could get it in to the computer was to go through the DM console out there, so I reckon that's not using them to their best.

I quite like the dm2000. was using one in the concert hall today and was surprised at the quality of preamps in it.

although the graces we were using are truly remarkable sounding.
