    Was just about to say this was suspicious as the story had not been picked up by BBC News - then I searched for 'Harriet Harmen' on Google News and found this:

    Labour Deputy Leader Harriet Harman is the latest MP to become a victim of internet hacking.

    An item was posted on her personal site for several hours announcing her defection to the Conservatives.

    I bet it's another case of this "XSS" exploit that was used on both pro-Clinton and pro-Obama sites in the US. See here for more details on those attacks.
