    hey,
has any one ever worked with RIFF/AVI video files before? Either ODMl or microsoft ones.

I'm looking for an explanation as to why a reported block size isn't as reported :)

Is the file broken (As they often be (apparently)), or have I missed something in the documentation?

    The data block:
    0x30, 0x31, 0x77, 0x62, (Type - 01dc - compressed video block)
    0x60, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, ( size = 0x60)
    0xFF, 0xFB, 0x14, 0x64, 0x2A, 0x0F, 0xF0, 0x75, 0x00, 0xBF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x0E, 0x00, 0x17, 0xD0, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01, 0xC4, 0x00, 0xFA, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x38, 0x80, 0x1F, 0x80, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0xBF, 0xA3, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFD, 0xCD, 0xFF, 0xB0,0x5F, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xF5, 0x7D, 0x15, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xE3, 0xB4, 0x17, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xDE, 0x9F, 0xC5, 0x7F

First line 0x30 31 77 62 = 01dc followed by the next 4 bytes telling the size of the data chunk, in this case0x60 bytes (85)
If you count, you can see theres actually about 96 bytes of data after.

Has anyone any insight? Or should I stop moaning and just deal with it? :D
