Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Didnt want to post in the FE-1 thread as it might get lost!

Are you better off doing the exams only after having done some form of law in college, or does it make that much of a difference? I've a BA in economics and sociology and was thinking about applying next year.

Would you be ok if you got about 3 months tutoring before the exams?

I have a BA in History and Politics which I graduated from last year. This year I've been doing the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies at the DIT - it is a one year course. It prepares fairly well for the FE-1's. Personally I wouldn't have a go at them just over the summer having just complete a degree - there is an awful lot in it. However, Independent Colleges do courses which begin on 2 June (I think) which run right through the Summer up until a couple of weeks before the FE-1's. They're meant to be fairly good.

yea i was thinking about doing one of those intensive-type courses in Indpendent, and there's also a few other ones around the place which run for about 3 months before. They're roughly €1700. Just don't wanna waste my money if I've no chance of passing them!

However, dont wanna do a postgrad in law if there's not much point and I could pass the FE-1s without doing it
