This is probably an old chestnut of a question, but do any of the broadband suppliers specify minimum, or even average, connection speed? It is clearly easy to offer any speed if you phrase it as "up to x". What I would like to know before I switch (again!) is which provider is more likely to achieve the advertised…

What I would like to know before I switch (again!) is which provider is more likely to achieve the advertised download/upload speeds!

(Had Eirecom, switched to BT for a competitive package including land line, and all calls to Irl & UK. But recent performance has me looking again!)
