Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Argentina doesn't require any vaccinations for entry into the country. Unless they have started recently due to the deaths from Yellow fever in the north. I know they were offering free vaccinations to anyone. It's a relatively safe country health wise. I'd probably take Hep A, yellow fever, typhoid vaccinations and anti-malarials. Them diseases are not common all over Argentina but more so in the tropical north west.

I didn't take malaria medicine there, but some people don't take that even in the Amazon. Seems to be a precautionary thing some people take.

Any other advice? Bring something to do on the buses! The glacier in El Calafate is amazing but a really long way. Something like 36 hours in a bus from BA. I did it in one go, maybe stop a see a few places along the way.

Cycling tour in Mendoza is a great idea but hard to do. The heat and wine make it really hard to cycle. There were tours that drove you to the vinyards, maybe they'd be better. But make sure they bring you to more than 2, you'd miss the chocolate one if you did that!!

Also Igussu Falls are incredible, try get there if you can.

If you like stunning scenery you simply cant miss Patagonia. The Moreno Glacier is awesome. Also if you ski/board Argentina's season will be kicking off in June.

Finally Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian border are among the best waterfalls to be found anywhere on the planet, much better than Niagara and Angel Falls IMHO

Iguazu falls are well worth the detour! We didn't have enough time to bus it there and back, so we got cheap flights from Buenos Aires and went for 3 nights. Thoroughly enjoyable!
