Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can never take her seriously. The Knob Nation impressions of her are highly accurate.

She didn't... well not successfully anyway... you know the way the Luas isn't joined up, the way we dithered with the 'overground', 'underground' decision until we lost the money from Europe... you know that whole telecom eireann sell off, where the state was stripped of a valuable asset, along with the poor unfortunates who invested in a greatly undervalued stock.

    That be Mary!

The most useless politican in the country.

Ahhh come on you should rephrase that to

'one of the most useless politicans in the country':D

She's a bit to go before she beats Martin 'E-Voting is on the Way' Cullen and Noel 'The Bungler' Dempsey

She ****ed up when she was minister of Transport, she is the reason the 2 LUAS lines were un-connected.

she lost her seat in 2002 but what did the retarded voters of Longford/Westmeath do in 2007? put her back into Dail Eireann. way to go suckers.

And that's a good thing, right? Right? I mean a well funded defence force is much more important that, for example, a well funded education system. Boys with toys over kids with classrooms.

Back on topic, I have to say I have a soft spot for Mary. Not based on policy decisions but rather because she comes across as one of the more grounded politicians and it took a lot of guts to go back before the electorate last time around.

My opinion of her dipped when I saw she was involved in this reality TV crap. Beneath her I think.

You know, for all the anger I have towards bertie for his corruption, it doesn't even come close to how angry I am that he made Mary O'Rourke minister for Public Enterprise.

She was basically in charge of transport, telecoms, energy and tons of other stuff during the most economically successful period of our history and she managed to **** the whole thing up. 2 unconnected luas lines (delayed many years) and handing our entire telecoms network over to a single private company. What a legacy.

While the rest of the world was trying to break up monopolies, O'Rourke created one! She's a moron.
