'07 Civic 1.8, getting about 570km out of the 50 litre tank before I refill it. Takes about 44-45 litres to refill so I'd imagine it would have no problem getting to 600km (372 miles). I tend to drive it in a bit of a "spirited" fashion though :D

Depends on where and how I'm driving......

    45Litre tank, 1.8 20VT.

Going on the on board computer I would be doing about 28MPG urban, about 40mpg on long distance, combined would be say about 30-35MPG. I have got an average of about 10MPG out of a tank before but I dont think that counts ;).

    http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=convert+25+miles+per+british+gallon+to+miles+per+litre&btnG=Search&meta=

25 (miles per Imperial gallon) = 5.49922893 miles per litre

about 80 litres in the tank which I normally let run till nearly dry cos I hate going to the petrol station equals 440 miles.

    441 miles - 80 liters

    About 370 miles from 50Litres.

Skoda Octavia 1.8T VRs. OBC reckons average is around 37mpg.

All Motorway driving, but that includes the M50 :-(

Peugeot 406 2.0 HDI - get around 800 miles (approx. 1300 km) per filling (70 - 72 litres). But this is usually pure motorway driving.

I THINK I get around 315 miles maybe on a tank and that's on a Yaris and it's only 30 litres to fill roughly. Is that good?

saab 9-3 2.0T, 50 litres gets between 175 and 225miles depending on how heavy the right foot is that week, most was 275miles

    Pajero 2.5 Diesel

A fill costs over € 70 now and will be lucky to get 300 miles out of it.

Pretty bad I think, especially as diesel is now so expensive.
I think the writing is on the wall now for uneconomical cars.

    2005 Avensis D4D

€60 to fill, dive or take a euro here or there depending where you fill up (50 liter tank i think)

get about 430 miles to that (688km)

Good timing for this thread. I just bought a 2003 745Li and I am intersted to see what other cars are getting. It has an 88 litre tank and I used just over half of that yesterday doing about 410 miles, 400 of which were motorway.

    MrP

I have a '98 520, and I think it's about 70 litres. 250 miles if driven very hard in town, 500 miles if I behave on a long run. That's 23mpg to 35mpg when I do the math.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,939 ✭✭✭mikedragon32

Volvo S40. Usually put about 48l into it (never let it go empty) and get about 650 - 700km out of it, depending on where/how I'm driving but it's mostly motorway & N roads.

'98 Fiesta 1.3 (yeah that one). Get about 200-240 miles from a full tank - manual says it's 40 litres but even leaving it go past the red mark and right to the empty line it will only fill about 32-34 litres.

So I'm getting around 30MPG :( Getting it checked out today - don't know why I've been putting up with this for over a year!

EDIT: Low compression in one of the cylinders. Yay!
