Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone suggest a good US radio station for new music, as in indie/alternative?

US I hear you say, just want to hear something different for a change.

I used to listen to star987.com for a while but they've now blocked listners outside of the usa (shame as they were really good). Now listening to Free Fm but they're mostly talk (very good talk but almost no music).

Do a quick google & find one that suits you. West coast stations seem to be more Rock orientated than elsewhere.

try cbs radio (2nd biggest radio group in US). They stream most of their stations including the aforementioned free fm talk brand

    http://www.cbsradio.com/streaming/index.html

they have lots of alternative stations also

    Thats a great link.

BTW how is the Roberts Internet radio going? I found that having my Philips internet radio plugged into the mains all the time means it works everytime I turn it on, so for €20 it was not a bad buy.

Greenman that reminds me that yes all the cbs stations listed by call letters on that link are on the reciva platform so if anybody has an internet radio in their house that uses the reciva platform you will get all cbs stations. The only downside is that most stream at less than 48k. The roberts wi-fi radio is still my best investment in years so novelty not worn off yet.

Also on another note, aol have now done a deal with cbs to stream their stations on the aolradio platform replcaing XM so you can also listen via the aolradio player from May.

Right lads, you've got me on to something here. I'd love to have a radio in the house so that I could listen to US stations (specifically Free FM) without having a PC on. What's your recommendations ?

    iMAX,
This is the future if you like international radio , http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055024787&page=3 bought a Philips SLA5520 for €20 in PC World, took alot of messing around to get it working, instructions were hopeless, but finally cracked it and it works great now.

Will get the Roberts for my birthday.

    Tell us what you do.

Let me suggest : 105.7 The Point. It broadcasts from St. Louis Missouri. I first heard it back in 1994, when I was over in the States. I'm glad to see that it is still going strong.

    Its home page website is:
