So for the past week ive been looking up what exactly different parts do for a car engine and all the different makes available. But the problem is if you do something to increase the hp usually something else needs to be done for the engine to cope with the extra power, like if you get a high performance air intake you need to replace the manifold and exhaust system to get the full benefit. so im wondering where is the best place to start, why and how much will it cost. also all the brands out there, HKS, Greddy, Turbosmart, Stoptech, and so on, whats the difference and who is best with what? like stoptech specialise in breaks, and although HKS do alot of diffrent parts they seem to specialise in turbo and exhaust? anyway use i v-tech as an example or the Nissan sr20det as another one, where to start!!!!

and say nothing about the spelling mistakes im dyslexic

agree, your post is too vague, take it down to exactly what power you want and want you want to drive, for example turboing a vtec is mad expensive and al the engine internals along with a mountain of other stuff have to be upgraded but on a nissan 200sx say the engine internals can handle a much bigger boost and turbo as standard so you wont have to upgrade as much.
