Is it possible to lay wooden floor over tiles

    Hi

    Was wondering if this is possible layed tiles last year and am not gone on them, they were laid badly. Was wondering if it is possible to put wooden floors over them, they would be for the hall and kitchen

    You could yes

    1. Fix battens to the floor to accept solid floor boards
    2. Float a glued together solid floor
    3. Float a clip together solid floor

    all of the above would involve an increase in the floor height which will have implications for your doors, thresholds, skirting.

    4. Float a laminate wood floor

    PS your tiles would have to reasonably level (no edges sticking up) for anything but no 1.

    You can rent out a prof tool from rent a tool shops that will lift almost any tile, it will have a flattened head to lift the tile and adhesive off the floor. Then retile.
