    Hello and Welcome to the Classical Forum!

    This is forum is for the discussion of Classical Music and events. This is defined generally as orchestral music, as most classical music involves orchestral instruments, apart from pure vocal music.

    Film and game scores can also be discussed here so long as they don't fall under the heading of Rock etc.


    Rules of the Forum

    1. There will be no trading of illegal warez or mention of/linking to P2P sites or anything of that ilk. Failure to comply with this will result in an instant ban from the forum.

    2. Spamming events across multiple fora, even if it is relevant, will be seen as spam and can result in a site ban.

    3. Please be civil and polite to your fellow posters. Abusive posts of any kind will result in a ban.

    4. Please endeavour not to use "txt spk" and to use the full keyboard in front of you instead, this will make is easier for people tp understand what you are writing.

    5. Please use the appropriate threads for promoting events and music lessons. Failure to do so will result in the post being deleted.

    6. All usual boards.ie rules regarding porn and spam apply here also.

    7. If you wish to use the forum for research purposes, please contact a mod of the forum first by PM

    8. If you have any problems or questions, please feel free to PM me.


    I will leave this thread open for the moment for people to make comments and suggestions.

    What are the rules for posting on the Boards forum classical site.
    There is a festival coming up in OCt.

    Can you say where tickets are available. I thought this wasn't allowed but I see some people have done this?

    can people post their soundcloud or other music websites here if they compose classical music? i know there is a pimp my band section, but as the name implies, it is not really relavent to art music, and this forum is much more so. thanks.
