Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hammerfall-The Ultimate in Cheese Metal

i absolutely love these guys.nothing beats some good Swedish metal in my opinion
singing about the usual warriors slaying stuff, a fair bit about the crusades and stuff, nearly every song contains something about crushing infidels.

brilliantly cheesey lyrics coupled with excellent guitar makes a great band.saw them live last year and by god were they amazing.even managed to get a few autographs.also got autographs from all the lads in Krokus....

(anyone who doesnt know Krokus they did the better, heavier version of Ballroom Blitz)

so what say you about Hammerfall??

I really really dont like them :)

For raw cheese something like Sonata Arctica would be a preference, but for as far as power metal as a collective goes cant beat Sabaton, excellent band, so much feel good cheese it hurts.

Nothing wrong with cheese. Life would be a hell of a lot more boring if there was no cheese.

I can rarely listen to them. Honestly, I've one of their albums, but it's just too much cheese... I can only listen to so many lyrics about letting the infidels burn, and crusaders and such nonsense.

Thumbs up from me. Steel meets steel ... indeed.
I think one of the members has just left to become a pilot (hope he doens't take 'Steel meets steel' literally)

holy sh1t i cant believe Stefan left.Stefan Elmgren was like the ultimate cheese guitarist, a complete maniac.so in the last year since i saw them Magnus Rosen (bassist) has left and now Stefan is gone.this is completely sh1t.although Stefans replacement is pretty good.he played in The Poodles, the other band that played that night i saw Hammerfall along with Krokus.pretty sure i have his autograph too lol.

man im gonna miss Stefan :(

but yeah Hammerfall freakin rule.Steel Meets Steel is the ultimate in crusading cheese lyrics.

heres pics of Stefan and Magnus......

I like them, not cheesy enough though, I take them quite seriously

I love cheese but Hammerfall just don't do it for me. As far as power goes, I much prefer Lost Horizon.

Did you know Joacim from Hammerfall is on some Swedish TV show with a choir?
