    Not yet but soon.

Then I can maybe finish the 4 or so games I've got piled up.

You do realise that he thinks you're "OK" with him playing it, and "don't mind" him not paying you an attention for the next few days, as, well, you "bought it, so she must be totally cool with it".

Well, why else would someone buy someone a game?!

Indeed, he probably thinks you're the best girlfriend ever for letting him indulge in the game without giving him stick!

I have gotten quite used to it... see my tag line! :(

But bought a Wii on sunday and well it is definately getting him away from the ******ry!

You do realise that getting him GTA4 makes you the coolest gf in the country?
    Just putting it out there.

if my most up to date console wasnt the ps2, i would so be abandoning my b/f in favour of gta 4 too. unfortuantely, it's aabout the only game i still have interest in, which makes buying a console for that sole purpose not quite economical, to say the least.

I'm here to apply for position of worst girlfriend in the country.

I pre-ordered GTA on t'internets, thinking sure they'll have loads, everyone knows this is going to be the greatest game of all time bar none.

So, skip to today, where the order STILL hasn't shipped...... they have copies on the shelves in Tesco, and my order hasn't shipped.

I'm half thinking of going out and buying another copy just so he's not that guy.... you know, the one whose girlfriend does something and he ends up with all his mates laughing at him. No-one wants to be that guy.

Egg and my face are in alignment.

Well one way to look at it is that if you love him you'll be understanding and accepting of this addiction, just as I would hope he is of your more odd (from his point of view) nuances.
Now the question is will he cop to similarly spoil you when something you really want is available in a store.:)

He's not that guy. He's the guy with the girlfriend that was thoughtful enough to try to pre-order the game online to try to have it at launch, but was unfortunate enough to order it somewhere that's messed her around.

If I was that guy, I'd still be made up because of your effort. :)

Also, my GF isn't quite a GTA IV widow, she happily sits on the sofa beside me, sprawled with her legs over my lap playing the DS I got her for Valentines :)

Damo: I was with you until you said DS. ;)

Thanks Damo, I feel a bit better.

(update: still not shipped. Holy heart failure! *shakes fist*)

    O_o

Why? What's wrong with the DS?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭Don1

Nothing at all wrong with a DS, just a lady on a couch with legs draped across................
you see where I'm going. I like games, love em in fact, but hmmm....................

Care to name and shame the online dealer so the rest of us can at least be wary of them in future should we decide to go over the lines to try order games?
