Im no fan of Ronaldo, but he has being much better in this game compared to some of the other recent big games. Tevez has being great apart from those misses. He'll probably be dying towards the end of the match.

ITV HD are showing the match...... so much for being a Sky Exclusive :)

Shevchenko to come on with 5mins left and score the winner and become a Chelsea legend!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

Don't think Ronaldo has set the game alight - definately doesn't look like the "best player in the world" TM Sky Sports after that half, even with the goal.

I think he's been good so far. Less show pony stuff than usual.

Van der Sar rolls back the years! That's what he was like in his last year in Italy.

United must have gotten a rake load of white boots delivered to Old Trafford at the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,225 ✭✭✭Chardee MacDennis

Completely sh!te:( United had a lead,2-3 great chances to make it bigger and than they managed to get goal in own net, totally undeserved draw for Chelsea, pitch is sh!te Van der Sar would get that ball before Lampard if he didnt slide as all the players did in this 1st half.Hope United can make it in 2nd half.
Anyone noticed blood in Drogba's mouth after Vidic punched him in 5th minute?:D
I told ya dont talk bad about him he will murder ya all:D

:eek:the pitch is perfect, even Terry said so before the game. are you a united fan by any chance?

Not saying Ronaldo isnt having a decent game, just he's not dominating the game.

Malouda two stupid free kicks given away and the ball hoofe over the bar in
the first 90 secs of the half - cant believe Kalou isnt on for him

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,496 ✭✭✭Mr. Presentable

First goal set the game going - until then it was poor.

Utd must be sickened - owned the ball, could have easily been three nil up and lose an uber-soft goal after two deflections set up Lampard.

Don't think Ronaldo has set the game alight - definately doesn't look like the "best player in the world" TM Sky Sports after that half, even with the goal.

Malouda shockingly bad - awful awful awful - Don't think he'll be on for the second half.

Not everything needs to be extreme: "owned the Ball", "uber-soft", "shockingly bad" , "doesn't look the best player in the world" Take the game for what it is - it's never going to live up to all the hype, and seldom does everyone play to their potential all at the same time. Are you enjoying it as a game?

As much as I dislike him, Ashley Cole's been super so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,913 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Ahhhh Essien all you had to do was stroke it into the bottom left corner. Composure FFS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,225 ✭✭✭Chardee MacDennis

i think ronaldo has played well when he has got the ball tonight, he is sticking out left the whole time and not coming inside. obviously he has been told to stick on Essien and exploit any mistakes he makes.

Essien is absolutely wasted at RB, when he has come into the middle Chelsea have looked so much better. They have so much money, you would think they could for once buy a decent rb...

LOL chelsea fans have been a bit quiet says ray, has he ever been to stamford bridge?

Does Ballack ever pass the ball, all he seems to do is shoot. Chelsea look a bit better in this half.

Makelele for the red card sooner rather than later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,133 ✭✭✭ironingbored

Chelsea seriously need to get Essien into midfield. They are starting to get into it more. Sheva to come on and win it in Moscow?

it would be madness not to get Ferreira on for Makelele and push Essien into midfield.

    i am enjoying it loads

Stand by criticism of Malouda - he has been awful - lost the ball numerous times in the first half, offered nothing.

    The goal as uber soft

In the run up to it, it was Malouda losing control of the ball, that lead to the clearance by Brown which was followed by the ball in which deflected off Vidic then deflected off Ferdinand to fall in Lampard's path, whose finish was very good but was helped in finishing by the fact that VDS slipped/lost his footing due to the deflections. Sorry but for a CL final where the UTD defence were well on top this was an uber soft goal.

Re Ronaldo I admit the comment was kinda harsh I just was kinda hoping for an out of the world performance as a football fan. Might be due to the fact that there are so many decent players on both teams.( Malouda Excepted)

    Chelsea subs tonight

Kalou for Malouda (maybe Anelka depending on if Avram wants o strangley shove him as WF again)
ferreira for Makelele (or maybe Belleti/ havent seen the bench)
    Shever on

Malouda is muck. Get him off, switch J. Cole to the left and let SWP have a run

What Ballack is pretending to be?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,008 ✭✭✭delija_sever029

He is nervous and acting like some bad guy in there trying to mess with everyone,Tevez just knocked out Makelele

Anybody else think the officials have been harsh on Chelsky?

This flucking pitch is a joke, hate to see the match turn on it.

Van der Sar having serious trouble with it.

seriously? are the excuses coming already?

btw Fergie looks like he is making his communion :D

Is ray full of crap? Giggs has only come off the bench 6 times of his 758 appearances, there is no way that is true.

EDIT: just realised he may have been talking about Bobby Charlton, lol...

Yup.. cant get over it myself. United were doing very well at the start but seem to be lacking now. Its like there just taking it easy, not really to pushed. Chelsea are taking advantage of this but not as much as they should be tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

Chelsea were much better team in 2nd half.
I think it will be penos but if it's win in extra time then I think it will be Chelsea.
