"Only Player Remaining" Xbox Live

Can't seem to get a full game online at all lately, whatever mode I try. The game will start fine and lots of players are playing, then all of a sudden the game ends and I get "Only Player Remaining" Seems a bit odd that so many players would quite in unison. Anyone else getting this?
