has anyone seen this woman about town

    anyone see that little old lady thats hunched forward, she carries a large shopping bag with her, and goes into loads of coffee shops around town winging about her corns while asking if she can take a little muffin/cup of tea/ sandwich

    think her name is joan or joanne


    she is meant to have made over a million pounds begging outside bewleys for a few decades, she owns a house in rathgar, and never talks about anything but her corns or her friends corns

    She used to get her coins changed to notes in Bewleys, she was racking in ~4-5 time the amount of money as the girls working here doing a 8-12 hours shifts were making////

    thats more like it, i heard she was a millionair 20 years back, but she dresses like a frail old woman, in clothes that look like she made them herself, haven't seen her in about 3 years, as i have moced out of dublin

    I still see her around a lot. She's up around Camden Street direction a lot these days, seems to pay for her coffee and so on now though

    everyone always says that about dublin city eccentrics (they make loads of money) etc

    ive heard the same said about the guy who has a box filled with religious stuff near trinity and the old guy who looks like santa

    she center pages in the sunday world about 4 years back, along with a tall guy that i never saw
