    Didn't the Kennedy family of Kennedy's Bakery (and the wife being my doc) live in a big house up along there too?

    Edenmore was fairly new when I was born, so I dont remember it as rural at all, but I do remember all the new areas going up - woodbine, millbrook, parts of donaghmede, grange abbey etc. They were great play areas for us as kids, with little or no security other than the odd owlfella who might give you a chase. Some difference from todays ultra-safety conscious building sites! Also amazing just how far away from home we wandered as kids.

    A right mess they made of it too.Millbrook,Streamville,St Donaghs..all horrible areas.
    The last bit of greenery at the back of Hector's they've recently built on..there's not a bit of character left.
