Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

DVDR Length

    Hi,

I have been asked to make a wedding DVD for a friend who is getting married. When I have done this before, I have found that the DVDR lengh restricts my production to about an hour of video. I am wondering if it is possible to get DVDRs that have extra capacity, so that I could add longer videos to one DVD?

Thanks a million for your advice.

the length of the video you can fit on a dvd is defined by the compressional bitrate. If your only fitting an hour to a dvd then you most likely have the bitrate at the max? So to fit more on reduce the bitrate, try using a variable bit rate with a max of 5.5. That should give you over 2hours on the disk. Also you should try and use ac3 audio rather than wav, and this will allow for more on the disk...

You'd change it at the authoring process. What DVD authoring software are you using?
Are you going from MJPEG (Camera) -> WMV (Windows Movie Maker) -> Mpeg2 (DVD) ?
