Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just got a message telling me that Martin Finnegan has been killed at Tandragee. Awful to see another racer gone.

What a waste of another young man who had everything going for him. May he rest in peace.

Very sad.I think road racing is the finest form of motorcycle sport but this makes me ask questions.I,ve already bookede for the TT but now there will be a wonderful brave talent not racing on the hallowed ground.

Copied from a thread on biker.ie (at the request of the poster):

"Martin Finnegan begins his final journey home tomorrow Monday May 5th from Belfast. We in the Finn 45 Supporters Club have arranged to meet him and escort him home to Lusk. We want as many bikers as possible to assist us. Anybody interested can assemble in the Car Park of the Carrickdale Hotel north of Dundalk between 13:15h and 13:30h.
If you could spread the word, I would be truely grateful. Also if people out there can copy this notice to other forums it would be of great help"

I got to know Martin last year when he tunned up my bike, a sound bloke and seemed to have lots of time for people.

Very sad news, I will do my best to meet him coming home tomorrow.

My thoughts are with his family.

The man was a legend, great to watch over jumps.
Will be sadly missed, Skerries won't be the same without him.

Another life lost to the beautiful danger. My sympathy's to his family most of all. A great Irishman gone, a decent guy, he always took time to shake hands, sign posters, books, pose for photos etc. I will be heading up there myself, joining people at Coachmans Inn carpark beside the Airport, to travel down together to Lusk. Meeting 12 Noon (pull out) 12.30pm sharp. All welcome.

Here are the details of the funeral.

If anyone would like to meet up, more than welcome.

    Martin (Finbar) Finnegan will be laid to rest following;

Funeral Mass is at 2pm in St MacCullins Church (Lusk) leaving house approx 1.30pm.

    Tomorrow (Wednesday) 7th April.

The Church itself will be for the immediate Family (as small in size) but speakers & T.V's provided outside.

There will be carparks provided, 1 x bikes & 2 x cars (which are marshalled).

Graveyard beside church cordoned off until Martin is laid to rest, then open to well wishers/Fans.
