You need the part number as well, the number starting in 76xxxxxxx.

You can get the code from here:

or there are apps for Android which do the same thing. HTH

Unfortunately, unlike the M serial numbers, you can't get free codes for V serial numbers. Try a Ford dealer, or there are various commercial unlocking services.

just read back through some of the posts for info. Radio is a 6000CD & I checked under the ashtray for info. Following details there:

UNIT TYPE FDC200
SERIAL NUMBER V072839
KEY CODE 5918

I tried this code 5918 in radio but it says incorrect :-(

The Ford V codes are not available as a freebie. Ask at your local garage as to where they get their radios decoded...

This is not the serial no. needed to calculate your code...
