Yeah i've tried pressing the soft "accept" button on the screen but it won't budge. What hardware button are you pressing? I've also tried pressing my hardware OK button but that just exits the midlet manager. Also tried pretty much every other hardware button as well. :( To whom does this app allow free calls btw? Is it just other skype-enabled handsets/computers or is it ALSO low-cost calls to national/international landlines? If landlines are included i'll be pi$$ed that i can't get this to work. If not maybe i can live without it though. Also tried skype thru' fring over the Three network btw and it's not great tbh- latency is barely acceptable to make proper calls and call quality is poor-ish. If you've any ideas i'd love to hear them. The puzzling thing is the Touch-Cruise is essentially the same device as the Tytn II (without the keyboard). So If it works on a Treo (a more distant relative of the Tytn II) surely it should work work on a HTC TC. Thanks again.

I'm pressing the button directly under the email softkey in the picture. The skype seems only to let you call other skype users, be it phone or pc, with no options to call phone numbers or even chat with txt.

can't really think of anything else but ill have a look and get back to you if i find anything :)

edit: just saw a picture of the cruse, it's seems they don't have harware buttons so i have no idea what can be done as the TyTN2 also has hardware buttons like the treo

OK fair enough. Incidentally the accept and exit buttons on-screen are nowhere near the bottom of my device's screen (even if i did have those hardware keys) so i dunno what the story is. If it's just free calls to skype enabled devices i'll probably just forget about it. Still kinda head-wrecking though (not unlike a lot of stuff when it comes to mobile technology) :) The skype via fring also allows calls to mobiles/landline numbers afaik so atleast theoretically that's an option (latency problems aside). Anyway thanks. :)

Although 3 is advertising that Skype should work on the TyTN2:

    http://www.three.ie/handsets_new/postpay-mobiles-htc-tytn2-features.htm
(note, this links shows the Skype logo etc as per this moment, it could be that they will be changing the page soon...)

    it is not ....

Asking for clarification from customer service confirmed this, I am now waiting for an answer why they advertise something they do not deliver ....:(

i have a 3 skypephone and i like the skype feature and use it very often. however,id like to get that working on my htc phone and was wondering if anybody has finally managed to get a skype client for windows mobile that uses the free skype calls and free skype messages and not use the data (ie pay per kb) ? im unclear whether the file at megaupload achieves that purpose?

    thanks for helping!
