    Hi,
I am looking to get my car (opel Astra) serviced. It has 40K km on the clock and got a service at 16k.

I know I probably let it go a bit far. Any ideas on how much I should be paying and recomend a service place in west dublin/north kildare?

A basic service; Oil, filters, check fluids and general inspection will cost maybe €200 at a local mechanic, up to double that at a main dealer.

However, what an inspection will find after a 24 thousand mile interval is anyone's guess; could be perfect, could need a lot.

Have you been checking the oil, coolant, steering/brake fluid and tyres in the meantime?

That's kilometres, not miles! Still a lot of miles though! :p
