Nailed connection??

    Hello All
    Had some problems with my BT router, kept losing the connection. Internet LED going from green to red after it timed out and then took some time before it reconnected. BT support got me to "Nail up" the connection so that it is always on, no time out. Is there any down side to do this, hope you all understand the question!!

    No no issue with it.
    Basically Nailed Up means that the router just sends a keep alive packet out every so often to keep the DSL session alive, nothing to be afraid of

    if you have an IRC client or Skype running 24x7, it will do approx same thing!
