Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ok,

I done a complete wipe on a Fujitsu Siemens P4 2day & carried out a clean install of XP Pro.

    Carried out all necessary updates.

At one stage tonight it restarted for no apparent reason.

This is the error reported generated for sending to Microsoft & I'm not sure but I suspect it may be a driver issue.

Anyone know what this might be?

It only done it once but I want to hold off returning it to the owner until I can see if it's likely to reoccur.

That doesn't give anything away. - the actual bug report is inside those files.
Check device manager - Start > Run -> devmgmt.msc -- if you think it's a "driver issue" [You're looking for yellow circle, with an !)

Of course it doesn't , I'm not thinking straight 2night.

Is there anyway to read the content of the "Mini050608-01.dmp" file?

What will open a .dmb file?

The device manager is reporting all devices as fine but as I said the PC restarted automatically & more then likely restarted the driver too if indeed it was the issue?

The reason it concerns me is because the owner did have this issue recently but it was at it all the time. I have it running two days now & it only done it once tonight.

The .dmp file is a complete memory dump taken at the time the fault occurred. You could open it in notepad, but you won't understand it unless you have a very good handle on what memory addresses hold what.

Your event viewer should tell you exactly what happened. If you don't have it installed, you can do so by right-clicking on the start menu and clicking properties. Then go to advanced and select event viewer to appear on the All programs menu.

Sorry, that may not be the exact way to get it, it's different on Vista, but you'll find it in there.

Cheers, I will have a look at that when I get back to the machine.

On XP Event Viewer can be found in Control Panel/Administrative Tools . System tab is probably the one you want to be looking at in this case ...
