GTA IV version 1.01 For PS3, 18mb

    Woo hoo. It's here at last. When you load up GTA, it will prompt you to install this patch. Can someone try it out and see does it work? I'm still in work, and will be until late :(

    Supposed to make the connection problems in Multiplayer go away. It seemed to work on mine. They mentioned that it might fix some crashes.

    **** for a minute I thought it had fooked up, it took ages to go through the intro screens, it looped throught them about 4 times then just went black for a few minutes after it had installed.

    well guess what, its still locking up! 40gb model

    actually its worse than ever now. when the game loads after the big GTA sign it goes black for 2 minutes then the intro screens run about 3/4 times in a row and it still locks up!

    It locks up straight away inth e game now within 2 seconds of seeing nico, I have to press the ps button then cancel that menu to get back into the game! grrrrrr

    Hmm, was gonna pop it on in a while for a quick game, tempted not to install patch right now if ye are having problems like that!

    can I just say that I went back out and disabled my internet connection and its running fine again. looks like its still got connectivity issues!

    Mine installed no probs and I was able to start playing straight away. ( 60gb model).

    Ok I installed it. No problems. woo hoo, loaded first time then i started multiplayer no problem. Looks like its working fine here, 60gb model

    Actually it does work! ok it takes forever to load and sign in and when it looks like its locked up, if I leave it it eventually recovers and I can connect and play online (again eventually after a constant loading screen for ages)!

    Maybe its my crap connection.....

    still buggy as I've said but it is a step in the right direction!

    Downloaded/installed in roughly 90 seconds. Workin fine for me.

    i downloaded this and opened the ports as per the online fix thread, connecting perfectly for me now. pity the multiplayer menus, game rooms etc etc is so poor

    there you go. (it cudve been either the fix or the update to be honest. i did both and the results were instant)

    BTW, what firmware version are people on that have this patch working? Are yous on ver 2.30?
