a friend of mine is in the same position as you. he has no contact with his mother or her family. he just put down the info he did no and for the ones he didnt he wrote in on the form that he just didnt know because he hasnt seen or heard from them in over 15 years.

Do you know if there'd be any chance it'd hinder my chances of going to the next stage? I know Blue Belle said I could explain it at the informal interview, but could it stop me getting even that far?

honestly i dont know. all i know is that he put on the form that he had no contact with his mothers side of the family for a very long time so therefore did not know addresses and stuff. he put down what he did know eg. that 1 of them lived in england last time he heard. the super questioned him about it in the informal chat and he went into a little more detail then.

    Hey Guys,

I know im geting ahead of my self .

Never been in trouble but just wondering about:

''involved in Garda investigation? yes/no? yes-particulars''

I once had to make a statment with regard to a murder investigation (I know this sounds dodgy but was not involved did not really see anything)
I was called to court but luckily the gents in question changed there plea's and got what they deserved.

Also about 3 years ago in a comlpletly unrelated incident i was randomily attacked and stabbed. No one was charged and other then my statement I dont think anthing came of it.

Just wondering should I/do i have to mention these incidents and would they take them in the negative light im sure everone who reads this will.

Especially the stabbing as i would not want them to think it was some revenge thing or anything stupid like that.

Im hoping AGS can benifit from my ability to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    Cheers

    .

i would mention it as its best to disclose everything, especially as you have nothing to hide, it wasnt your fault you were stabbed and if its unrelated to your decision to join ags then tell them at interview if it comes up

Im hoping AGS can benifit from my ability to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    Cheers

im no member btw, im an applicant

    good luck
