    Are the West Bank colonists a different political group to the Gaza colonists? I'm having difficulty understanding why the one should have any greater or lesser sway or be any more or less difficult than the other.

    NTM

    no - there's just a hell of a lot more of them! There was less than 10,000 settlers in Gaza. There's about 280,000 in the West Bank and another 170,000 in East Jersualem.

    Moving 10,000 settlers = moderately difficult
    Moving nearly half a million = :eek::eek::eek:

    As El Stuntman pointed out there are way more in the West Bank and they have taken a harder line since Gaza as well. Again, just look at the current expansions in the West Bank, despite promises made by the Israeli government, this change is due to the people sympathetic in government, as well as there own people in there.
