Red light but green turning light

    If you turn into a lane where the cars are stopped for you as you have a green light but in the process of the turn go through the red light that theyre waiting at, what would be the situation with this?

    Also can you only get caught (for a fine etc) going through lights if traffic corps catch you as that situation worries me.

    Basically your turning Right, and what you are asking is when turning right if the lights are red for people that are going from left to right (straight through the lights) can you be done by the gaurds??

    You would go thru the lights that are red as this set of lights is for cars to the left before the junction. The stop line for the red traffic lights is before the junction.

    Yeah... so thats grand.. no one beeped or anything so i assumed it was fine
    yes im driving awhile (passed test ages ago) but the area was unfamiliar . the junction was strange to me,
    just dont wanna get any unwanted fines...

    There's a junction in Ranalagh the same as your diagram. Plenty of people make the mistake you describe and it annoys the fcuk out of me.....

    How would you get points? If a traffic corps saw you do something wrong they would have told you about it.
