Scouting Methods

I was wondering what people's methods are for scouting in FM08. What I did for FM07 isnt that effective anymore (e.g. each scout has a league/competition to monitor and they get sent around to different region that are low on the knowledge list) Is there a good guide on it out there because I havent found one.
