Major fire at the chilling plant today in Kildare Town - looks like the main part of the plant has been gutted. Bad news for the 400 employees

Some pictures (sorry was too lazy to leave friends house that I was visiting at the time)

How does a factory like that just burn down? Fire safety regulations make it impossible for fire to spread in this typs of place!
Rumours already going arond about an inside job..

Fire safety regulations are designed to ensure all the occupants get out of the building safe, and that the fire doesn't spread to neighbouring buildings - i.e. life safety objectives. The building can still burn down even if designed to current regs, and the Building Regs only really took effect in 1992.

Busy evening for Kildare Fire service with the Eyre Powell incident in Newbridge on simultaneously.
