black bars not getting removed

im converting videos with dvd catalyst, I crop them to take away the black bars and then stretch them so that they are back to their original resolution but then when it comes out and i put it on my mp3 player, the black bars are still their. Both the video and mp3 players screen are 320x240 so I'm not quite sure why this…
